After all, Katie is alive today because of these cells.  But a miracle, it is an event that is unexpected and unlikely to come true. Cord stem cell cord blood do not match this definition. The life of Katie was registered with a combination of great scientific work and the dedication of his family for his safety. The "miracle" of Katie recovery and excellent prognosis, are like most of the good things, the result of planning, of sacrifice and hard work. For decades, scientists have worked to develop this science. Now, more than 70 diseases may be treated with cord stem cells cord blood and many more diseases are studied for use.

His parents read information such as brochures: a better life in 30 Minutes: Essentials of cord blood; written by Dr. Neil Shulman and Jonathan Liss. They research quality cord blood storage as medical Stork.  They decided that cord blood storage is affordable insurance for their family and they have made the financial sacrifice to store the blood of umbilical cord of Katie. Of course, they hoped that it would be a waste of money. They hoped that he would sit in storage as Katie grew up in old age.

When Katie was diagnosed with leukemia, they were more that stunned, they were devastated. But, when the doctor asked him if they had stored the Katie cord blood, they have been exalted. They knew that their shared planning and sacrifice would give their daughter a second chance of life which was not available to most of the other.  They should be the possible good news that was to come. After all, it is their careful planning and the loving gesture that assured the survival of their child. Yet, they are all simply accept credit.
