Reprogramming stem cells cord blood

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) have been in the news a bit late, especially with the report on Chinese summer two studies indicating that stem cells created from adult mouse skin cells have the ability to regenerate in a similar way as embryonic stem cells obtained in both cases in the birth of a baby mouse.

It look like the cord blood cells can be determined in a similar way as adult stem cells in these tests is, but with a smaller number of factors and in less time, according to Juan Carlos Izpisúa Belmonte, Ph.d., a professor in the laboratory of expression of the gene Institute Salk, who led his own study published in the October journal stem cells cells.

This accepts the message, some wind from sails one argument against using his own stem cells in cord blood of Maldives to treat diseases: that stem cells may contain the same genetic mutation or suffer a mutation that caused the disease in the first place. Reprogramming stem cells cord blood, however, researchers may potentially remove the capabilities of this ever happening.
